Crownless with a Twist

This is a brand new twist on my crownless.  I did not put a band on inside as it felt like a nice fit with the raffia braid - as a medium, but I think I will add a band to make it able to be a s/m with my foam tape.   That will fit either size.   The brim is from 9 mm Swiss Raffia braid, edged in tubular horsehair.  The flare is from Jinsin, a grass from the Phillipines that has been traditional in hatmaking.   This might be the last in this color until mid summer when I order some more Jinsin.  I do have some turquoise/black striping for a custom order that would be similar, but they never turn out exactly the same!   Which I do love about hand molded hats.
